Reaching a Person, Not a Ticket Queue

Three ways in, and each one is best at something different. Pick the one that matches what you are holding: a date, a document, or a question that can wait until morning.

The phone is fastest, and it is the right channel for anything with a date attached: a measure you want on the calendar, a listing deadline, a question that needs an answer today. During business hours you reach a person at the shop who can actually look at the schedule, not a script that promises a callback. If your project has a clock on it, call.

Email at hello@austincustomcountertops.com is the right channel for anything easier to show than to say: cabinet drawings, a plan sheet, photos of the run, the spec page for the sink you bought. Attachments beat descriptions, and an emailed photo set means the first phone conversation starts from what we can already see.

The form on this page is the third door, built for the callback request that occurs to you at ten at night. Leave the address, the job in one line, and the best time to call, and the shop calls you back when the doors open.

Austin Custom Countertops, 1 Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78701. Call (512) 555-0100. Hours: Mon-Sat 8am-5pm.

What to Have in Front of You Before You Call

A five-minute first call can end with a measure on the calendar, or it can end with "we will get back to you." The difference is almost always what the caller had in hand, not how complicated the project was. Three things close the gap, none of them takes ten minutes to gather, and even one of the three moves your call from vague to bookable.

A Rough Measurement and One Photo of the Run

Run a tape along the counter and note the lengths, roughly. They do not need to be exact, and they will not be held against you, because the free in-home measure exists to correct them. Then take one photo that shows the whole run in a single frame. That photo answers more questions in five seconds, about corners, seams, backsplash, and layout, than a paragraph of description answers in five minutes.

The Sink, Faucet and Cooktop You Plan to Keep

Half the questions on a first call are really one question: what has to fit into this top? Whether your sink is undermount or drop-in, whether the faucet takes one hole or three, and whether the cooktop is staying or being replaced decide the cutouts, and the cutouts shape the estimate. If you are keeping any of them, have the make or a photo nearby. If you are replacing them, say so, because ordering the sink before the top is cut keeps the whole job on schedule.

Your Deadline, and Anything Driving It

A listing date, a tenant move-in, a build-out opening, an appliance delivery already booked. If a date is driving your project, say it in the first minute. A deadline changes how we sequence the work, which slab options make sense, and where the job lands in the shop queue. It does not change the price, so there is no reason to hold it back. The projects that hit their dates are the ones where the date was on the table from the first call.

Booking the Free In-Home Measure, and What That Visit Includes

The measure is the first real step of every project, and it costs nothing. Our templater comes to your home, records the run as it actually is, confirms the sink, faucet, and cooktop details, and answers your surface questions with samples you can set on your own cabinets. Most visits fit inside an hour, though a large or complicated kitchen can want more. You do not need to prepare anything beyond clear counters and your questions.

At the end of the visit you know what happens next, and shortly after it you have a written estimate for your exact kitchen, naming the surface, the scope, and the number. There is no obligation attached to any of it; the estimate is yours to compare, sit on, or act on, and nothing moves in the shop until you approve it. The shop side of what happens after that approval, where the measure file becomes a cut slab, belongs to Countertop Fabrication.

05

Hours, Weekends and How Fast We Call Back

The shop answers Mon-Sat 8am-5pm. Call inside those hours and you reach a person; call outside them and you reach voicemail, which the shop works through when the doors open, in the order the messages arrived. Emails and form submissions queue the same way. Saturday is a full working day here, which matters if your own week leaves no room for a weekday measure; plenty of our measures happen while the rest of the trades are off.

A plain word about turnaround: a message left Saturday afternoon and a message left Monday morning do not get the same clock, because Sunday sits between one of them and a person. We would rather tell you that than promise an always-on response we cannot staff. What you can rely on is simple: every message gets a call back from someone who has read it, not an autoresponder.

How Far From Austin We Will Drive for a Measure

Coverage is easier to picture as a drive than as a wall of city names. Austin and the 787xx footprint are home ground, and every measure inside the city is simply on the route. From there the trucks run south down I-35 through Buda, TX: Upgrading a Builder Grade Kitchen and Kyle, TX: Upgrading a New Build Kitchen and Replacing What the Builder Left to San Marcos, TX: One Kitchen or a Whole Building, east on the highways to Elgin, TX: Kitchens, Brick Homes and Main Street Counters and Bastrop, TX: Old Houses, Rebuilt Houses, One Shop, and west through Sunset Valley, TX: A One Square Mile City Inside Austin into Dripping Springs, TX: Hill Country Acreage Kitchens, Outdoor Kitchens and Venues and the lake communities. If your drive time from Austin is in that ring, so are we, for the measure and for every visit after it.

The full list of the twenty cities on the route, each with its own page, lives on the Service Areas hub. Not sure whether your address qualifies? That is a thirty-second phone question: (512) 555-0100.

If You Are a Contractor, Property Manager or Realtor on a Deadline

Trade callers get a straighter lane: skip the photo and send what you already have, a plan set, a unit schedule, or a punch list, to hello@austincustomcountertops.com, and say the deadline out loud. Build-out and multi-unit work runs through Commercial Countertops, and rental turns on a move-in clock run through Countertop Replacement.

Contacting Us About a Job Already in Progress

If your job is already booked, call the same number, (512) 555-0100, and say so; you will be talking to someone who can see your job, whether the question is a scheduled install, a delivery date, or something you want looked at after the crew has gone. We built this lane on purpose, because a customer who cannot find where to report a problem writes a review instead of making a phone call. What we stand behind after install day, and how the remedy works, is written out plainly on About.

09

Insured & Bonded, and Local to Austin

Every call above lands at an Insured & Bonded Austin shop carrying $2 million in general liability, over 10 years of experience, and over 3,000 completed projects. Texas issues no statewide contractor licence for countertop work, so we hold none, and the full explanation lives on About. The people who answer the phone sit in the same operation as the people who will cut and set your tops.

Contact Questions Answered Before You Dial

What is the fastest way to reach Austin Custom Countertops?

The phone, at (512) 555-0100, during business hours, Mon-Sat 8am-5pm. You reach a person who can see the schedule and book your free in-home measure on the spot. Email and the contact form both work, but they queue for a callback, and the phone skips the queue.

Do I need an appointment to visit the shop?

Call first. The fabrication side is a working shop with saws running and slabs moving, so walk-in visits are not the smooth path. One phone call arranges the right visit for what you need, whether that is talking through a project or seeing material, and it usually saves you a trip.

Who answers the phone outside your posted hours?

Voicemail does, honestly. We staff the phone Mon-Sat 8am-5pm, and outside those hours your message is recorded rather than answered live. Leave the address, the job in a sentence, and your best callback window, and the shop works through messages in order once the doors open.

How soon will someone get back to me after I email?

Emails to hello@austincustomcountertops.com are read and returned during business hours, in the order they arrive. A message sent during the working day usually gets its callback faster than one sent Saturday evening, since Sunday sits between that email and a person. Include photos and your message moves faster still.

Can I get an estimate without an in-home visit?

We can talk through your project and your photos by phone, but a firm written number follows the free in-home measure. Countertops are cut to the actual walls and cabinets, and a number invented without seeing them would only mislead you. The measure is free and carries no obligation.

Do you take calls from outside the Austin metro?

Yes. The route covers twenty cities around Austin, south through Buda, Kyle, and San Marcos, east to Elgin and Bastrop, and west to Dripping Springs and the lake communities. If you are unsure whether your address is inside the ring, call (512) 555-0100 and we will tell you in thirty seconds.

I already have a job booked, who do I call about it?

The same shop number, (512) 555-0100. Tell whoever answers that your job is in progress and what it concerns, a schedule question, a delivery date, or something to look at after install, and you will be routed to someone who can see your job file rather than starting from zero.
